Is Google Analytics setup on your website?
Google offers an amazing FREE service called Google Analytics. It tracks your website visitors’ activity and provides your business with valuable insights.
It will also show you the traffic you received from social media and google search.
The hidden gem of Google Analytics is the ability to set goals. Goals will allow you to see how many visitors did what you want and where they came from. You can set goals for e-commerce sales, newsletter signups, etc.
Hire a web developer to install Google Analytics on your website and set up goals. They’ll also be able to set up the system to send you weekly reports.
Urchins of success
UTMs are your friends, but what are they? UTMs (Urchin Tracking Modules) are parameters that are added to the end of a website URL. These parameters give Google Analytics insight into your website’s traffic.
Example UTM: https://www.snapraffle.com/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=boosted_post&utm_campaign=increase_roi
In the above link, the UTM specifies a source, medium, and campaign.UTM parameters will let you know exactly which source to attribute the conversion. Knowledge is power! Click To Tweet
Hide the long UTM links with a service like bit.ly and post the shorter links on your social media.
Check out Google’s Campaign URL Builder for more info.
Pixel your visitors
Facebook provides an amazing tool to track visitors called the Facebook Pixel.Installing the pixel on your website will allow you to do things you never dreamed of! Automatically optimize ads, show visitors ads after they leave, and more. It'll even allow you to find consumers like your current ones.Click To Tweet
This is a must-have for every business.
The Pixel will allow Facebook to attribute a conversion on your website to a specific ad. Then you can do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
